Welcome to American Backyard Creations. We'll be updating and improving the content over the winter as we add pages for the many different sheds and smaller wooden items that we build. Just send us an email if you have any questions.

 

We build storage sheds here in the Norfolk/ Va Beach area of Virginia. Most of our work is building sheds on the customers' site, but we are trying to expand into designing and selling high quality, well designed shed kits to both homeowners and construction guys who work out in the field.

Free How-To Tutorials

We will also be doing some tutorials on how to do different tasks related to residential construction. The first will be a basic tutorial for how to install a standard 3 tab asphalt shingle roof on your shed. Although it is designed to be used on a shed, it can just as easily be used on a garage or a house. After the basic roofing instructions tutorial is completed and online, we'll probably do some vinyl siding tutorials, maybe a replacement window tutorial, and one on cutting basic rafters. We've already done one on cutting basic rafters, but it is crude to the point that it's better to re-write it and then copyright it before publishing it on our site.
